Cyril Lancelin’s world is all about huge, striking, engaging art pieces, and together we brought that vision to life for the Balloon Museum with Knot — a striking, bright-red inflatable installation that pulls you in from the very first glance. As the name suggests, Knot is inspired by the clover knot — a continuous looping form with no clear beginning or end. It’s one endless line, twisting and folding into a massive three-dimensional shape you can walk beside, dive into, and get completely lost in.
The magic of the piece lies in the way it blocks your sense of the outside world. Once you enter its curves, you’re surrounded by volume, color, and movement — no shortcuts, no full view, just pure discovery. That’s exactly the point: the installation becomes a labyrinth of discovery, encouraging guests to wander, take unexpected paths, get a little lost, and feel the thrill of finding their way again. And the color? A powerful, vivid red. It cuts strikingly against its surroundings, breaking your usual perception and transporting you into Lancelin’s dreamlike universe.
Crafted together with Cyril for the Balloon Museum, Knot wasn’t just an artwork — it was an experience. A journey through shape, color, and curiosity, developed to surprise, challenge, and delight every single visitor.
