In 2019, during DIFC Art Nights in Dubai, we teamed up with Cyril Lancelin to unleash something wild — a massive inflatable takeover inspired by the ultimate symbol of fun: the pool flamingo. But these weren’t your average floaties — they were massive, sculptural, and unapologetically pink, transforming the sleek DIFC district into a dreamlike playground of joy and imagination.
Picture this: as you walked through the city’s glass-and-steel corridors, towering flamingos rose around you — their curved necks forming arches and tunnels, their bodies glowing in shades of electric pink that turned the urban landscape into a dream. People wandered through, posed for photos, and simply laughed — because how could you not?
The installation flipped the script on what public art could be — captivating, playful, and full of attitude. Against DIFC’s refined backdrop, these colossal inflatables became a striking reminder that art doesn’t have to whisper — it can shout, sparkle, and make you feel alive.
With Cyril Lancelin’s signature mix of geometry and pop dreamlikeism, we turned Dubai’s business district into a world of color, light, and pure fun. The result? A moment of collective wonder — where the city stopped, smiled, and remembered how good it feels to play.
