Flying Maze

For the Let’s Fly showcase at the Balloon Museum, we teamed up with Cyril Lancelin to create a massive, captivating installation — a 32 x 32 foot inflatable labyrinth that feels like stepping into a living, breathing art piece. Bathed in a striking vivid green, the piece echoes the grand garden mazes of the Renaissance, but reimagined in Lancelin’s unmistakable geometric language. It’s a space that invites you to wander, get curious, and let your senses take over.

The labyrinth has long symbolized the search for self and the rise toward knowledge — a motif that has appeared for centuries, from ancient pottery to Roman mosaics. In our version, Cyril transforms this timeless idea into a soft, winding architecture of inflated walls and hypnotic curves. Once inside, your eyes and body follow the flowing lines, losing direction in the most playful way. At the center of it all, instead of a Minotaur, guests discover a suspended inflatable mirrored sphere — a glowing treasure waiting at the heart of the maze.

Crafted together for Balloon Museum, this installation isn’t just something to look at — it’s a journey. A place where color, form, and imagination swirl together, encouraging guests to explore, get lost, and feel the joy of finding their way again.
