Art in Public Space was invited by KEO Consultants and successfully participated in the competition for a project of monumental artwork themed after a classical Arabic dhow – a traditional sailing ship used for centuries for fishing, trade and pearl diving. This project was designed to be a crowning jewel in a new corniche designed by KEO, close to the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar. Some 40 meters high and over 50 meters in length this public art installation will be visible from incoming and outgoing planes, has a place to sit for anyone at the bottom with additional plans for beautiful lighting and can serve as a landmark and a great meeting point.
