Camoulflage : The fourth pillar

In 2022 Richard Mille collaborated with Louvre Abu Dhabi for the second season of Art Here to explore the regional art scene with a focus on 10 visionary GCC-based artists. Exploring the notions of ‘Icon and Iconic’ in contemporary art practices, 10 shortlised artists with their artworks fostered a dialogue between local art scene, heritage and the international community.
Echoing the theme of urbanisation, we worked closely with one of the most recognized Emirati artist – Zeinab Alhashemi to capture the rapid transformation of the UAE in her site specific artwork we produced and installed in the beautiful interiors of the museum.
Camouflage: The Fourth Pillar (2022) is inspired by camels in a desert with a backdrop of industrialisation, the installation is structured with metal & steel covered in camel hides.
