Phish Riviera Maya
In 2020, we had the incredible opportunity to create large-scale artworks for the Phish concert in Riviera Maya, and it was a project close to our hearts. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Mexican Caribbean, we wanted the artworks to reflect the beauty of the region and its rich culture. So, we designed installations made entirely from local materials, celebrating the connection between the land, the sea, and the vibrant energy of the concert.
Each piece was inspired by Mexican culture and fauna, blending traditional craftsmanship with a modern, artistic twist. We worked with local artisans to incorporate materials like woven palm leaves, natural fibers, and wood, creating structures that felt both rooted in the environment and alive with creativity. From large sculptures echoing the shapes of sea creatures to patterns inspired by Mayan designs, every detail told a story of this beautiful region.
The installations weren’t just decorations—they were part of the experience. As concertgoers danced under the stars, these artworks surrounded them, adding color, texture, and a sense of place. The soft glow of lights woven into the pieces brought them to life at night, creating a magical, immersive atmosphere that perfectly complemented the music.
This project wasn’t just about art; it was about honoring the culture and natural beauty of Riviera Maya. It was our way of saying thank you to this incredible location and sharing its essence with everyone who came to the concert. Working on this with the Phish team and the local community was a joy we’ll always cherish!
